Rehab Restorative Dining Progam

This three hour course is intended to provide clinicians with information regarding development and implementation of a rehab-restorative dining program in the SNF setting. The course materials provide background information for essential skills and knowledge needed to implement a program designed to address dysphagia, feeding deficits, and positioning deficits which might inhibit patient from complete independence during mealtime. Additionally, materials are presented as evidence-based and oriented to clinical application for screening procedures and knowledge of the aspects of program implementation. Clinicians will also be able to reinforce concepts and techniques through training modules presented in the course to assist in training and educating facility staff in not only the initial phase of the implementation of the program but also prior to referral into the restorative dining program.
